Rainwater Tank Cleaning Byford

Exit Waste can provide Rain Water Tank cleaning services to concrete, steel, plastic and liner type water tanks.
We have the ability to high-pressure wash the whole inside of the water tank, including the walls and the roof. Our mobile vacuum unit has the ability to remove the sludge and silt, that builds up in both domestic and commercial water tanks.
Silt and organic matter build up over time, as water runs into your tank every time it rains, and you forget to use your first flush water diverter system. Effectively every time it rains, your roof and gutters are washed and all this material (dust, bird poo, leaves etc) ends up in your tank.
Rainwater tank cleaning is obviously best performed when you are running low on water, or your water quality is too poor for use. As we cannot filter your water for reuse, as our cleaning method requires us to gain entry to the tank, and thus the total emptying of the tank ( to ensure a completely clean/ wash of the tank internals). You will have to organise your water cartage contractor to refill your tank when we are finished. If you don’t have one, we can organise it for you. If you have another tank nearby, we have the ability to transfer, the clean water, between tanks, just let us know at the time of booking.

SEPTIC TANK INFO
All wastewater from your house is discharged through the septic system (unless you have a dedicated “greywater system installed”, greywater can only come from your laundry, and bathrooms, kitchen water is black water, as it will contain fat and food waste), it is a fallacy to believe that your septic system does not ever need pumping out. It is very common for people to call us, and say their septic has not been pumped out for 30 years. For most of these people, it will be too late, and their leach drains, will be loaded/blocked with septic sludge.
Essentially it is common sense, but as a septic system is generally out of sight, it is always overlooked, until it becomes blocked, and the toilet stops flushing.
Septics need to be serviced, they should be regularly cleaned, at least every 4 – 8 years, they should be cleaned for the following reasons: –

  • To reduce environmental pollution- your septics build up heavy metals, from the house pipework/taps, household chemicals & vitamins and minerals the human body discharges. Wastewater from your septics are generally discharged through a drainage field, which is in your garden, so discharged wastewater, slowly deposits contaminates into the soil, which can get washed into streams and groundwater, and thus our environment.
  • To protect your leach drain, from clogging up with septic sludge.- a costly thing to replace.
  • To prevent those unexpected blockages, which usually occur on the weekend, or public holidays.
  • Accidental disposal of sanitary items – ‘Imagine what 20 yrs of tampons look like’, it ain’t pretty.
  • It is recommended by the WA Health Department, and local councils.
  • It will cost you less in the long run.

Soakwell Cleaning Byford / Storm Water Drain Cleaning Byford

Exit waste can provide a storm drain / soakwell cleaning service. We can do this by using one of our vacuum trucks to safely vacuum excavate the sand/silt and leaf matter that has built up over time. We can also remove contamination / accidental spillages from your pits/storm drains, and transport the waste to a disposal facility. Vacuum excavation is increasingly being used to clean storm drains, due to the fact most pits are regarded as confined spaces and are not readily accessible to people, and also due to contaminates such as hypodermic needles which are increasingly being disposed of incorrectly down storm drains.
We can clean out stormwater sumps, pump pits, groundwater pump pits etc and recommend that this is done regularly, prior to winter. We can also jet wash out drain/storm pipes to 150mm in diameter.
